Through analyzing the lifestyle flaws and imperfections of the characters in the Great Gatsby, the "good life" can be defined as being financially comfortable, living with strong morals, and surrounding one's self with people one cares about and people that care about him/her.

The irony behind the song is it was made in the same time period and none of the Characters lived in a wonderful world.
